The inflamed happiness
A happy couple around 55 enjoyed their holiday to the fullest. Happy with themselves and the world, they spent their days in Zermatt, surrounded by the breathtaking mountain scenery.
One evening, the wife surprised her husband in their hotel room wearing an elegant negligee, which clearly delighted her husband. In his euphoria, he decided to create even more romance. He took the negligee and placed it on the bedside lamp.
However, what was meant to be a romantic gesture quickly came to a fatal end. The heat from the bedside lamp ignited the negligee and before the couple knew it, it was on fire.
Without further ado, they threw the burning negligee out of the window and it landed on the terrace below.
Panic rose within them. In this moment of distress, the woman acted quickly. She ran to us in the dining room and desperately asked for a bucket of water. We tried to understand the woman because she was speaking in puzzle pieces. But once we realized what it was all about, we helped immediately. By joining forces, we managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread any further.
The couple were relieved, but also ashamed. Their romantic evening had taken an unexpected turn. But despite the shock, they were grateful that no one had been hurt.
The story of “inflamed happiness” made the rounds and caused a lot of laughter. The couple took it with humor and were able to laugh at themselves.
After all, it was only a negligee and their love for each other had remained intact. They spent the rest of their holiday together, enjoying their time together and appreciating the happiness they had.
