Article contents of Family and staff in training just for you

Hannelore is looking forward to the season, André is swotting up on his Spanish, Alain has finished his third semester at Hotel Management School in Lucerne and Michèle is building on his culinary training. The Ambiance team, both old and new, are working hard and looking forward to welcoming you to Zermatt soon!

A new focus for Hannelore and André

Hannelore and André enjoyed a little extra free time over the summer and autumn: Hannelore took the chance to explore the flora and fauna in the colorful surroundings of Zermatt, discovering countless native species that are found in only a few other places on earth. The crystal-clear air in Zermatt was ideal for a spot of relaxation and restoration before the next winter season, which Hannelore is now eager to start. André recently started learning Spanish and has been looking after the jobs that are usually put on the back burner.

New experience for Michèle and Alain

Michèle has been gaining valuable professional and personal experience in the field of gastronomy and marketing in eastern Switzerland. Alain is already over halfway through his studies at the Hotel Management School in Lucerne. During the second half of the course, he will complete practical assignments at a number of companies, allowing him to develop his knowledge in the areas of bookings and reservations, hospitality marketing and future planning for the Swiss gastronomy and hotel industry.

The Ambiance team are on hand to help

Florian is now in his third season as our head chef. He cooks with passion and joy, preferring to work with regional, seasonal ingredients. He treats our guests with his culinary surprises and makes an important contribution to the Ambiance experience. Thanks to Florian, the Ambiance Restaurant has become one of the most in-demand locations for culinary enjoyment.

Mirjam is also in her third season with us. She is the friendly voice that you hear at the end of the telephone and who greets you at reception. Her role means doing her best to meet all our guests’ needs, making sure they enjoy the perfect Zermatt holiday.

Whether it’s mending a broken lamp, preparing breakfast for our guests or hammering in a nail, José knows every nook and cranny in the hotel. He can even meet you at the station and transport you and your bags to Ambiance.
